CaseBasix sells assessment simulations and a very large drill count. Both are testable in about two minutes, so start with a voice case rather than a price comparison.

A drill count tells you how much material there is. Two other questions decide whether a purchase changes your performance: how your answer gets checked, and whether the assessment practice reproduces the real format. CaseBasix (casebasix.com, sometimes written Case Basix) sells a real product you can use before paying. The checks you can run yourself:

• Coaches from consulting firms offer free intro calls, so you can speak to a coach before booking.

Inspect the payable price as well as the reference value. The 12-month plan is shown at $249.99 beside "USD 4,140 (94% off)". The product behind it is real; the useful move is to set the percentage aside and price the plan on what you will use.

What do you get with CaseBasix?

A large amount of material: a broad assessment-simulator catalog and well over a thousand drills across cases, market sizing, business acumen and fit, per its homepage.

Bain TestGorilla practice on CaseBasix

CaseBasix’s Bain TestGorilla pricing page advertises a $99.99 one-time course with 12-month access and 250+ practice questions (checked 8 October 2026). These are the vendor’s advertised figures, not an independent content audit or evidence of the real Bain format. Review its current terms before buying. How much does CaseBasix cost in 2026?

Its homepage advertises $0 with no card, $189.99 for six months, or $249.99 for twelve, one-time. Check the current checkout and terms.

The twelve-month numbers land within a dollar of each other, $249.99 against $249. CaseBasix spends that money on breadth across assessment formats and a large written library; Road to Offer spends it on graded practice across cases, drills and six simulators.

Note that CaseBasix plans are access windows, not subscriptions: you buy six or twelve months outright rather than cancelling monthly.

The free plan is the important one. Per its homepage it includes 10+ MBB game questions, three drills each across market sizing, structuring, brainstorming, case math and charts, four business acumen drills, unlimited mental math, four cases, a glossary, templates and the forum. That is a real trial, and it means you never need to buy on faith.

How does CaseBasix compare with other case prep platforms?

What is CaseBasix best at?

Assessment breadth in one purchase

CaseBasix covers Solve, Casey, CCA, Quant, SOVA, TestGorilla, Pymetrics and one-way video together, which is broad and includes formats, such as TestGorilla, Pymetrics and one-way video, that fewer providers package. If you have applied across tier-two firms as well as MBB and do not yet know which screens you will face, that reach has value. Business acumen drills

Few platforms package business intuition as practice. It usually gets taught as a list of frameworks and then never rehearsed. Three hundred acumen drills is an unusual and useful asset for candidates from non-business backgrounds.

A free plan that answers the question

Because you can use it before paying, the "is it legit" question is resolvable in twenty minutes of your own time.

Why does CaseBasix advertise a 94% discount?

Because its plan table shows a struck-through reference value, $4,140 for the 12-month plan and $2,020 for the 6-month plan, next to the price you pay.

The page also lists bonus values for bundled extras (for example "Total bonus value: $446 included free today"). This review has not verified a history of sales at those reference prices. Make your decision using the payable price and the practice you need.

None of that makes the product bad; the underlying platform is real. Price it at $249.99 against what you would otherwise spend on assessment practice, and set the crossed-out number aside.

Where does CaseBasix fall short?

Drill counts do not say how your answer is checked

A thousand drills is a lot of material. What improves case performance is knowing why a particular answer was weak: whether the structure was MECE, whether it pointed at the client's decision, whether the synthesis led with the answer. This review has not independently verified CaseBasix’s library-case or drill feedback. Try a sample and check whether its explanation addresses your specific mistake. Reading a case is different from running one

Two hundred cases you can read is not two hundred cases you have run. The interview asks you to perform, under time, with someone interrupting, which is why worked case examples are a starting point rather than the practice itself. Before buying, check whether the sample supports the way you plan to practise. Its homepage advertises coach intro calls.

The pricing display draws questions

A large reference-price discount is not enough to evaluate a course. Inspect the payable price, access period, sample practice and terms.

Access windows, not subscriptions

Buying twelve months up front is fine if your recruiting cycle runs that long. It is less useful if you are six weeks from your interviews and will use it for six weeks.

CaseBasix advertises a range of screening-stage courses. Road to Offer is consulting-only and covers the process behind the screen, which is a different bet: fewer test formats (no Pymetrics or one-way video), with full scored cases, behavioural and PEI rehearsal, Learning Mode, a resume grader and a tracker, each rep graded on your own answer.
