UK Consulting Application Deadlines 2027: Tracker by Firm

Updated Nov 7, 2026By Esteban Ronsin · Founder · former Deloitte and Accenture Strategy consultant

UK consulting application deadlines for 2027 fall in three waves: graduate schemes that mostly closed in October 2026, summer internships that close between 3 and 24 January 2027, and first-year spring weeks that open from November. This tracker covers open deadlines, windows opening next, every firm's date and status, spring weeks, and what each firm tests after you apply.

Every date comes from the firm's own careers page or job posting, with the status we saw on 6 November 2026 (Bain London and BCG London re-opened on 7 November, no change). For how UK recruiting works (target universities, tests, the interview), read the UK consulting recruiting guide; this page only tracks dates.

Which UK consulting deadlines are still open in November 2026?

Four penultimate-year internships close between 3 and 15 January 2027 (L.E.K., OC&C, McKinsey, Oliver Wyman), and Newton and EY still take graduate applications on a rolling basis. These are the open windows on each firm's page or posting, checked 6 November 2026:

Checked on each firm's careers page or posting, 6 November 2026.

Two of these behave differently from a fixed deadline. OC&C's internship advert says it reviews applications as they arrive, so a strong application in November is read before one sent on 3 January. Oliver Wyman's posting reserves the right to close early. If you are in your penultimate year and have not applied yet, those two go first. The firm pages behind each internship are in our L.E.K., OC&C, McKinsey and Oliver Wyman internship guides.

Which UK windows open next?

Deloitte's spring programme opens on 9 November 2026, Bain London's 2027 internship is expected in November, and BCG London's internship opens on 1 January 2027 and closes on 24 January. These are announced but not yet open:

Roland Berger is the one to watch. Its London career page lists a live "Junior Consultant Summer Internship 2027" posting, but the paragraph above it still describes the summer 2026 round (opened 5 January 2026, CV and cover letter by 1 February 2026). Last cycle's pattern points to January, but the 2027 closing date is not printed, so treat it as unconfirmed. More on the firm in our Roland Berger consulting guide.

Each row below is one programme, its stated date and its status on 6 November 2026, linked to the page we checked. "Closed" means the date has passed or the firm's page says applications are closed; "not printed" means the firm has not published a date.

McKinsey's deadline tool, filtered to UK Bachelor's students, showed only two roles on 6 November: the Business Analyst Intern (14 January 2027) and Junior Associate (rolling). The graduate Business Analyst role no longer appears, most likely because its UK date has passed; McKinsey's page no longer shows the closing date, so we do not state one. BCG London requires at least a 2:1 for the Associate role and asks every applicant to complete a short numerical assessment as part of the application. The London-specific detail for all three firms is in MBB London recruiting, and the US and global dates are in the McKinsey deadline tracker, BCG internship guide and Bain internship guide.

OC&C publishes its pay: the London Analytics posting offers £54,000 plus a £7,000 signing bonus and an annual performance bonus, with start dates in March 2027 (limited places) or September 2027, and interns are paid the Associate Consultant salary pro rata for the 8 weeks. Candidates choose Strategy or Analytics, not both. L.E.K.'s Europe board on 6 November listed only experienced London roles plus the Summer Associate, so its London graduate intake for 2027 is not open. For Kearney, we found no London student posting in the Kearney job board listings we could load, so we do not state a date. For the case style at each firm, see the OC&C case interview guide and the L.E.K. case interview guide.

The Big 4 do not run a single national deadline. Deloitte opened Consulting on 5 October 2026, lets you make one early-careers application per year, and says it closes roles early when volumes are high. EY says its 2027 applications "will close once positions are filled". PwC's graduate pages for Advisory and Consulting and for Strategy said applications were closed on 6 November 2026, and its summer internship page (penultimate year, four to eight weeks, summer 2027) did not print a status, so check the job search before assuming it is open. Newton states its pay and its bar: a £48,000 starting salary with a £2,500 sign-on bonus for 2026, and a minimum of AAB at A level or equivalent rather than a 2:1. Its process is an application form with written questions, cognitive tests (logical reasoning, numerical skills, data interpretation) and a short one-way video interview. Baringa says about 3 out of 4 interns convert to the Graduate Analyst role, which makes its next autumn internship window the main route in. Newton's interview format is covered in the Newton Europe interview guide.

When do UK consulting spring weeks open for 2027?

Most open in the autumn of first year and run in spring; the open ones in November 2026 are Deloitte's (from 9 November) and PwC's three-day Diversity in Business programmes. Strategy firms rarely run a classic spring week, so first years mostly get in through insight and diversity programmes at the Big 4 and Strategy&:

PwC lists some business areas inside its Diversity in Business programmes as closed (Deals and Strategy), so pick the area before you apply. We found no spring week or first-year insight programme on Bain London's page or McKinsey's UK deadline tool. The general rule from TARGETjobs holds: insight programmes usually open a couple of months before they run, so a December programme opens in September or October and an April programme may not open until December or January. First years who miss these windows can still build toward a penultimate-year internship; the freshman consulting internships guide lists the early programmes worth tracking.

Does applying early help at UK consulting firms?

At BCG London no, because it decides after the deadline; at OC&C, Oliver Wyman, Deloitte and EY yes, because they review as applications arrive or close when full. This is the rule each firm states, checked 6 November 2026:

FirmWhat the firm saysWhat to do
BCG London"All decisions are made after the deadline"Use the full window to polish
OC&CScreens applications "on a rolling basis"Apply as soon as your CV is ready
Oliver WymanMay close the internship before 15 JanuaryTreat December as the real deadline
DeloitteCloses roles early on high volume; one application per yearChoose the role carefully, then apply early
EYCloses once positions are filledApply early
NewtonRolling, but "no benefit to applying early"Take time on the written answers

The practical consequence: if you are applying to several firms this winter, send the rolling ones (OC&C, Oliver Wyman) first and leave BCG's January window for last. The same logic, applied to every firm's US and global dates, is in consulting application deadlines 2026.

What does each firm test right after you apply?

A short test comes before any interview at most UK firms, so prepare for it before you submit. On the firms' own pages: BCG London invites applicants to a short numerical assessment that forms part of the application; Bain London's online assessment covers numerical aptitude, logical reasoning and behavioural preferences; OC&C's internship runs a blended online assessment, a short one-way video, then two 30-minute virtual case interviews and two 45-minute in-person case interviews with Associate Partners and Partners; Newton uses cognitive tests and a one-way video. For BCG's numerical screen, the numerical reasoning test guide covers the question types; for Bain, the Bain SOVA test guide explains the format; and McKinsey's screen is covered in the McKinsey Solve guide. How these fit into the full UK process is in the UK consulting recruiting guide, and what to put on the CV that clears the first screen is in consulting CV UK.

After the test, every firm in this tracker interviews with cases. If you have never run one, learn the method first:

How should you plan the next ten weeks?

Work backwards from 3 January: CV first, then the online tests, then cases, so you can submit the rolling applications in November and still be ready for January interviews. A plan built on the dates above:

Does the Graduate visa change affect 2027 applicants?

Yes, if you are an international student: the Graduate visa is 2 years if you apply on or before 31 December 2026 and 18 months if you apply on or after 1 January 2027. That is the rule on GOV.UK as of 6 November 2026. Most 2027 graduate starts will apply for the visa after 1 January 2027, so plan around 18 months unless you will finish your course and apply before the end of 2026. Several firms above state UK right-to-work requirements in their postings (Baringa's UK internship and Graduate Analyst Programme both do), so check the posting, not only the visa rules.

How this tracker was built

Every date above comes from the firm's own careers page, job posting or deadline tool, opened on 6 November 2026; nothing is taken from job boards or other prep sites. Where a firm's page did not print a date, the row says "not printed" or "unconfirmed" instead of filling the gap. Three gaps remain: McKinsey's closing date for the 2027 UK Business Analyst role (no longer shown on its tool), Kearney London's 2027 dates (not found on its board), and Roland Berger London's 2027 internship deadline (posting live, date not printed). Bain London's page names no spring programme, and McKinsey's UK tool lists none. Last cycle's UK dates are in the UK consulting recruiting guide; the rest of Europe, country by country, is in the Europe consulting recruiting timeline, and who hires in London is in consulting firms in the UK. To keep your own list of these dates, the recruiting deadlines calendar and the application tracker hold them in one place.
