Consulting Online Assessment Practice: Guides and Simulators (2026)
Practice consulting online assessments with verified format guides, live BCG Casey and CCA simulators, and timed skill drills for every other major route.

Where can you actually practice consulting online assessments?
Road to Offer has in-depth guides for every major consulting assessment, plus live simulators for the BCG Casey-style online case and the BCG CCA-style numerical assessment. For McKinsey Solve, Bain SOVA, Bain TestGorilla, Pymetrics, Deloitte immersive, and SHL routes, the honest practice offer today is the relevant guide plus adjacent timed graph, exhibit, math, and sizing drills. Those drills build transferable skills, but they do not recreate the proprietary assessment interface.
How should you practice McKinsey Solve, Redrock, Sea Wolf, and Ecosystem Building?
Start with the McKinsey Solve guide, then use the dedicated Redrock, Sea Wolf, and Ecosystem Building guides only for the modules named in your invitation. Road to Offer does not have a McKinsey Solve simulator today. Use graph and exhibit drills, Quick Math, and timed market-sizing drills to train data reading, arithmetic, and constraint discipline without pretending those exercises reproduce a Solve game.
McKinsey Solve simulator: early access while we build it
The Solve simulator is not live yet. A free account reserves your place and opens the graph drills that train the fast data interpretation Solve rewards.
Official: McKinsey describes Solve as a game-based assessment on its interviewing page, but the guide does not identify one universal public duration. Reported: the sibling Solve guide cites candidate reports for a common two-module format of about 65 minutes and a longer three-game format of about 85 minutes; your invitation controls which version applies (Wall Street Oasis, PrepLounge).
Your practice recipe is simple: reproduce the decision pressure, not the game skin. Read a chart, write the relationship before calculating, make one decision from the evidence, and log whether the miss came from setup, arithmetic, interpretation, or pacing.
How should you practice the BCG Casey online case?
Use the Casey guide to learn the question families, then open the BCG Casey-style simulator. The simulator has 10 original cases, and the first two questions are available without an account. This is one of the two assessment simulators Road to Offer offers today.
Official: BCG's case interview preparation page emphasizes approach and reasoning but does not publish one universal Casey question count or duration. Reported: the Casey guide cites a range of about 25 to 35 minutes across 6 to 10 prompts, with some versions including a 60-second video recommendation (MConsultingPrep, MyConsultingCoach). Treat those as reported ranges, not a guarantee for your office.
Run a first attempt cold. In the review, separate exhibit-reading misses from math misses and weak final synthesis. Repeat only the weakest family before taking another original case.
How should you practice the BCG CCA?
Read the BCG CCA practice guide, then try the CCA-style simulator. The public preview contains two questions. The full Road to Offer mock contains eight questions on a 12-minute shared clock, which makes pacing visible instead of letting every item expand to fill the time.
Official: BCG's current US recruiting page describes the overall Consulting Career Assessment as roughly 30 to 35 minutes, while noting that the current invitation governs the route (BCG US Associate recruiting). Road to Offer practice format: the numerical mock is eight original questions in 12 minutes. Do not treat the practice score as a BCG cutoff.
After the mock, classify each miss as chart selection, setup, arithmetic, or time allocation. If setup or arithmetic is weak, use Quick Math before repeating the full clock.
8-question CCA numerical mock
- 8 original numerical questions
- One shared 12-minute clock
- Forward-only, with a worked debrief
How should you practice the Bain SOVA assessment?
Use the Bain SOVA guide to identify the reported reasoning and work-style families, then train the numerical parts with timed math drills and the exhibit parts with graph drills. Road to Offer does not offer a Bain SOVA simulator today. A math drill can improve speed and accuracy, but it cannot reproduce a SOVA personality or situational-judgment section.
Bain SOVA simulator: early access, plus timed math today
SOVA is next in the build queue. Signing up free reserves your place and opens the timed math drills that train the numerical reasoning speed it measures.
Official: Bain says its office-dependent digital assessment takes about 30 to 40 minutes and that the invitation identifies the platform (Bain digital assessment). Reported: the SOVA guide groups possible questions into verbal, numerical, logical, situational-judgment, and behavioral families, but Bain does not publish that list as one universal format.
Practice the section named in your invitation. For work-style items, answer honestly and consistently rather than rehearsing a supposedly ideal personality.
How should you practice a Bain TestGorilla assessment?
Read the Bain TestGorilla guide and inspect the welcome screen before choosing practice. Road to Offer does not offer a Bain TestGorilla simulator today. Use Quick Math, timed math drills, and graph practice only when the invitation or sample items show a matching cognitive task.
Official: Bain gives an approximate 30 to 40 minute duration for its digital assessment and says the invitation will identify Sova or Test Gorilla when required (Bain digital assessment). TestGorilla's official candidate guide says the welcome screen shows the expected time and number of parts. Those current instructions outrank any generic practice package.
Use the sample task to identify whether you need numerical, verbal, logical, or judgment practice. Do not prepare from leaked questions or use outside assistance during the live assessment.
How should you practice Pymetrics or Harver games?
Use the Pymetrics guide to understand the behavioral purpose and the integrity constraints. Road to Offer does not offer a Pymetrics or Harver simulator today. Adjacent timed math and graph drills can build composure and attention, but they do not reproduce the behavioral profile or predict whether an employer will recommend you.
Official: Harver describes games-based assessments as measuring cognitive, social, and behavioral attributes against role-level benchmarks (Harver). Reported: the sibling guide cites a 12-game route taking about 25 to 30 minutes; this is a reported configuration, not a universal promise (MyConsultingCoach, JobTestPrep).
The useful preparation is logistical: sleep, device readiness, uninterrupted time, and familiarity with the instructions. Do not try to manufacture an extreme personality profile.
How should you practice a Deloitte immersive assessment?
Start with the Deloitte immersive assessment guide and copy the exact assessment title, provider, output, and rules from your invitation. Road to Offer does not offer a Deloitte immersive simulator today. If the sample asks for data interpretation, use graph drills; if it asks for calculations, use Quick Math; if it asks for a recommendation, practice a concise evidence-led synthesis in an AI-graded case.
Read a chart and reach the decision from the Road to Offer drill engine: a real prompt, your answer, and AI-scored feedback. Free account includes free daily drills.
Official: the sibling guide does not claim a universal duration, task count, vendor, or sequence. The current Deloitte invitation and linked official instructions are the source of truth. That absence of a flat number is useful: it prevents you from simulating the wrong route.
How should you practice Big-4 SHL routes?
If your PwC invitation names SHL, use the PwC SHL aptitude guide; for the broader test families, use the SHL consulting guide. Road to Offer does not offer an SHL simulator today. Pair SHL's official familiarization material with Quick Math, timed math drills, and graph practice for the numerical and data-interpretation families.
Build numerical reasoning speed under a clock from the Road to Offer drill engine: a real prompt, your answer, and AI-scored feedback. Free account includes free daily drills.
Official: SHL's practice-test page lists numerical, verbal, inductive, deductive, general-ability, situational-judgment, and work-simulation families, but firms can assemble different combinations. Reported: the general SHL guide cites one McKinsey configuration of 48 questions in 44 minutes, including 30 verbal questions in 19 minutes and 18 numerical questions in 25 minutes (MConsultingPrep). Those reported McKinsey numbers are not a universal PwC or Big-4 format.
Follow the calculator, navigation, and review rules in your own invitation. Build accuracy first, then add the exact time pressure shown in the official example.
What is the screen-to-case method?
The screen-to-case method keeps assessment prep narrow enough that it does not consume the interview preparation that follows:
- Identify the screen. Copy the assessment name, provider, deadline, and permitted tools from the invitation.
- Map the skill. Choose the closest truthful practice: Casey simulator, CCA simulator, graph or exhibit drills, Quick Math, timed math, or market sizing.
- Run one diagnostic. Complete one timed rep without pausing or changing the rules.
- Repair one error family. Work only on setup, arithmetic, interpretation, judgment, or pacing until the error is stable.
- Return to the case. Use one full AI-graded case to transfer the same analysis into a recommendation.
Road to Offer's free tier includes one full AI-graded case and free daily drills. Quick Math includes two free sessions per day.
What should your one week out plan look like?
One week out, your goal is to remove format surprises and fix the single skill most likely to cost you time. Do not spend the whole week imitating an interface Road to Offer does not claim to simulate.
If the invitation is for Casey, spend the timed rehearsal in the Casey simulator. If it is for the CCA, use the CCA simulator. For every other assessment on this page, use the guide plus the closest timed skill practice and keep the difference explicit.
