Best for: Understanding the official BCG format before doing any practice. Read this first.

2. BCG's Official Case Preparation and OneDay@BCG

What it is: BCG's current case preparation page explains how to approach a business problem and links to OneDay@BCG, a free job simulation. Use any additional sample material supplied with your invitation.

Best for: Learning the firm's expectations and exploring consulting work. A job simulation is not a timed online-case assessment.

3. BCG Casey Practice Content

What it is: Preparation for a chatbot-style business case. Use the Casey guide to understand reported question types and check the invitation for your version. Casey and the CCA are different assessments.

BCG's own guide to the online case says the invite comes from HireQuotient on BCG's behalf, the case takes about 40 minutes, and a calculator is allowed. The Casey practice page covers the format in more detail.

Best for: Casey preparation when it appears in your invitation. Candidate reports describe chatbot-style case content, but timing and sequencing vary. Use the current invitation as the source of truth and run at least one practice attempt in the format it specifies. 4. Road to Offer: a graded practice baseline

What it does: Combines full case practice, drills, assessments and behavioral rehearsal. The case debrief helps you identify what to improve. Use a structure drill if your opening is vague, a math drill for calculation errors, or graph practice when you miss an exhibit's implication.

Best for: Getting a baseline on a full interview flow. Review that debrief before choosing another case. Beginners can use guided cases to work through the steps.

Worked answer. Direct contributes 120,000 × $8 = $960,000. Marketplace contributes 200,000 × $3 = $600,000. Direct contributes $360,000 more despite fewer orders. Before recommending a channel shift, check acquisition costs, capacity and whether customers would move between channels. The table alone does not show incremental profit from switching.

What it is: Several sites, including IGotAnOffer, publish free BCG-style case write-ups with sample answers.

Best for: A quick second opinion on case structure. For a rep run on your own answer, use a full Road to Offer case instead of just reading someone else's; your first full case is free when you create an account.

What it is: Centralized free case books from Wharton, Booth, Columbia, INSEAD, and Yale. Each contains BCG-style cases. Centralizing them means no PDF hunting across MBA sites.

What Does a Free Four-Week BCG Prep Plan Look Like?

This four-week template uses official material, the free baseline case and partner practice. Adjust it to your interview date and the weaknesses in your debrief.

One possible weekly schedule is three cases from official samples, case books or peer partners, plus short math sessions and one fit story refinement. Use your first full case, free when you create an account, as an initial baseline. Adjust the workload to the mistakes you still need to correct.
