On this page
EY-Parthenon pays between roughly $99,000 and $254,000 a year in the United States below partner level, and almost all of it is cash. An MBA hire entering as an Associate lands near $99,000 to $137,000 total on about $104,000 base, per Glassdoor data from 2026. A Senior Associate runs $143,000 to $214,000 on about $145,000 base, backed by the deepest sample in the data at 199 submissions. Consultants land between $168,000 and $241,000 depending on the snapshot, and Senior Consultants reach $240,000 at the top of the range with a $201,000 median.
Outside the US the shape holds with lower nominal bands. London Associates run about £49,000 to £62,000 and Strategy Consultants £74,000 to £94,000, on thinner samples than the US figures. Every number below carries its source and check date, and where two snapshots disagree, both are shown side by side with the overlap called out.

The table below uses Glassdoor US bands as the spine, because they report per-level ranges on large samples with named dates. Where a second snapshot disagrees, the wider band is shown beside it.

What EY-Parthenon pays an MBA associate
The Associate is the MBA entry role, and it is the level where the thin-sample warning matters most. The headline Associate band rests on a broad Glassdoor page: about $104,000 average base plus $12,000 additional pay inside a $99,000 to $137,000 total range. The First Year Associate slice tells a noisier story on four submissions: $85,000 to $156,000 with a $113,000 median and about $100,000 base.
Undergraduates enter one rung down as Associate Analysts, and no fetched source states that band with a citable number. Pricing it from the Associate figures means guessing, so this page does not. Confirm the Associate Analyst band with a recruiter and in the written offer. The ladder behind these titles is covered in the EY-Parthenon consulting overview.
What EY-Parthenon pays senior associates and consultants
This is the best-documented stretch of the ladder. Senior Associates show $143,000 to $214,000 total on about $145,000 base across 199 submitted salaries, the deepest sample in the data. Consultants show two snapshots that overlap but do not match: $168,000 to $227,000 on about $171,000 base in one, and $177,000 to $241,000 on about $179,000 base with a $205,000 median in the other. Both are 2025 Glassdoor snapshots of the same title, so the honest read is the overlap near $180,000 to $225,000, not either endpoint.
Senior Consultants run $169,000 to $240,000 with a $201,000 median on about $173,000 base plus $28,000 additional pay. The Management Consultant series, which pools levels, runs $187,000 to $254,000 with a reported median package near $230,000 and a median bonus near $20,000. That top band is where EY-Parthenon starts to look competitive with the lower end of MBB post-MBA packages, before the title ladder diverges.
Why the same EY-Parthenon level shows two different numbers
Two Glassdoor snapshots disagree about Consultants by about $9,000 at the bottom and $14,000 at the top. Neither is wrong. Glassdoor refreshes its model estimates as new submissions arrive, and the two snapshots were captured months apart against different submission pools. The same effect explains the Associate versus First Year Associate gap: one is the full title population, the other is four campus submissions.
Three rules keep a comparison honest:
- Fix the measure before the firm. Base, total cash and total compensation answer different questions. Compare like with like or the conclusion is an artefact.
- Fix the date. Every figure here carries the snapshot date beside it. Bonus pools move every year even when bases sit still.
- Fix the geography. A Boston figure and a London figure are not the same offer in a different currency, because the benefits and tax base differ.

EY-Parthenon bonus, signing and retirement mechanics
The package is cash: base plus performance bonus plus, for MBA hires, a signing bonus. Management Consulted's firm profile (updated March 30, 2026) confirms the signing bonus exists for MBA roles but states no amount, and no fetched source puts a number on it. Treat any signing figure you see elsewhere as unverified and ask the recruiter directly. Retirement works the same way: the same profile lists 401(k) contributions as a component with no match rate, so confirm the percentage in writing before comparing against a firm that publishes its contribution.
What the data does support is the shape of variable pay. Additional pay runs about 11 percent of base at Associate, about 13 percent at Consultant, and about 16 percent at Senior Consultant. The bonus lever grows with seniority but never dominates the package the way partner distributions do.
EY-Parthenon partner pay: the documented gap
No fetched source states Director or Partner compensation with a citable number. The official Strategy and Transactions careers board publishes roles, not bands. Deleting the gap would be worse than naming it: a salary page that invents partner pay destroys trust in every accurate row above it. If partner economics matter to your decision, ask for the profit-share mechanics in the interview process, alongside the EY-Parthenon case interview guide.
EY-Parthenon vs McKinsey, BCG and Bain in 2026
EY-Parthenon trails MBB at MBA entry and the gap is honest about why. Year-one totals below are base plus bonus plus signing where disclosed; EY-Parthenon's signing amount is undisclosed, so its row excludes signing and still trails by nearly half.
Sources: Glassdoor EY-Parthenon Associate and First Year Associate rows above; MBB rows as published on our McKinsey salary, BCG salary, and Bain salary pages. MBB firms charge a premium for generalist scale and brand; EY-Parthenon charges less and selects harder on deal reps.
The trade is the exit, not the entry check. EY-Parthenon's deal-strategy and diligence mix feeds private equity operating and investment teams directly, which is why candidates who price the two-to-four year exit over year-one cash still take the offer. That trade sits at the centre of the wider MBB versus boutique versus Tier 2 comparison, and the Big 4 consulting firms guide plus the Big 4 versus MBB comparison put the EY economics in context.
EY-Parthenon salary outside the United States
Non-US figures come from smaller samples and should be read as directional. London Associates show about £49,000 to £62,000 total on recent submissions, and Strategy Consultants about £74,000 to £94,000 (Glassdoor UK, February to June 2026). Senior Consultants in London average near £100,000 base plus £10,000 additional pay across 92 salaries (Glassdoor UK Senior Consultant, 2026).
For Germany and France this page found no verified firm-specific band, matching the gap the EY-Parthenon consulting overview already flags. Confirm the local band with a recruiter and in the written offer rather than converting a US figure.
Negotiating an EY-Parthenon offer: what actually moves
Base salary at entry is banded and moves very little, because a firm that hires a cohort cannot pay one associate more than the person sitting beside them without breaking the band. What does move:
- Signing bonus. It exists for MBA hires and the amount is undisclosed, which makes it the first thing to ask about, particularly against a competing offer with a documented number.
- Level placement. For experienced hires this is worth more than any cash negotiation. Entering as a Senior Associate rather than an Associate is worth roughly $40,000 in average base on the Glassdoor figures. Argue the scope of your prior work, not the salary.
- Start date and office. Lower stakes, more flexible, and worth asking about when the cash components are fixed.
- Nothing, if you have no alternative. A negotiation without a competing offer or a documented current package is a request, and it is usually answered with the band.
Two things that do not help: quoting an aggregate figure from a salary site as if it were an entitlement, and negotiating before the offer is formally extended. Bring your own current total compensation in writing, or a competing offer letter, or accept the band.
What EY-Parthenon compensation is worth on exit
EY-Parthenon's diligence-heavy work shapes where its people go, and exit compensation is part of the value of the offer rather than a separate topic. Private equity operating teams and investment teams recruit from the firm for exactly the reps juniors accumulate: fast diligence cycles in lean teams. The mechanics of that calculation, including how title and tenure map to industry bands, are in the consulting exit opportunities guide.
One practical consequence: if the exit is the plan, the Consultant promotion is the milestone that changes your deal-team title, not the Associate promotion. That argues for staying through the promotion cycle where the pay curve also steepens.
